The Sorsogon Police Provincial Office under the leadership of PSSUPT RONALDO R CABRAL, APD, intensified continuously the PNP’s Anti Illegal Drugs Campaign Project Double Barrel and OPLAN TOKHANG in the province. As of October 2, 2016, this office recorded 329 pushers and 2,349 users with a total of two thousand six hundred seventy eight (2,678) drug personalities who surrendered themselves in the different Police Stations.

The drug surrenderors were released after documentation and executing an affidavit of undertaking to attest their willingness to refrain from involving in illegal drugs activities again.

This notable number of drug personalities involved in illegal drugs activities who surrendered themselves to the authorities will not be achieved without the support of the community who gave reliable information to the PNP personnel in their respective areas.

Number 1 MMWP, Arrested in Pamplona

In line with the PNP Patrol Plan 2030, please be informed that on October 1, 2016, 11:00 AM at Brgy. Cagbunga, Pamplona, Camarines Sur, joint elements of Pamplona MPS and PIB, both of Camarines Sur PPO under the supervisio of PSSUPT WALFREDO PORNILLOS, Provimcial Director, arrested Arcadio De Belen y Quipayo, 53 y/o, married, farmer, a resident of said place by virtue of WOA issued by Hon. Judge Erwin Virgilio P. Ferrer of RTC Branch 20, Naga City for Rape Committed upon a Minor docketed under CC No. 2016-0634 with no bail recommended. The arrested person was brought to Pamplona MPS for proper disposition.

Joint personnel of Paracale Municipal Police Station (MPS), Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, together with the media representative and barangay official of the said barangay, served the search warrant No. 03-2016 issued by Executive Judge Ivan D Dizon of Regional Trial Court, Branch 40 dated September 21, 2016, at the residence of the suspect Mario Gupo y Cabuntukan alias “Pareng Gups”, 34, with live-in-partner, jobless and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Tabas, Paracale, Camarines Norte on September 27, 2016 at about 5:45 PM at said place.

Said implementation resulted to the arrest of the suspect and confiscation of the following items from his possession and control: one (1) piece crumpled aluminum foil (Totter); sixteen (16) pieces of assorted different sizes of open transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu residue; one (1) piece heat sealed small transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu; four (4) pieces of heat sealed small transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu placed in pink jewelry box inside the teddy bear; and one (1) digital weighing scale.

Arrested suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidences are presently under the custody of Paracale MPS for proper disposition. Meanwhile a criminal complaint for violation of Sections 11 and 12 Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) is now being prepared against the suspect for filing in court.

The Pokémon GO craze has seen reports of accidents, injuries and even crimes in other countries where it has already been played.

Ola, Legazpi City with PDIR WILFREDO D FRANCO, Director, DPCR as Guest of Honor and Speaker.
