PLTGEN CESAR HAWTHORNE R BINAG, the Deputy Chief PNP for Operations assisted by PMGEN EMMANUEL LUIS D LICUP, the Directorate for Comptrollership and PBGEN BARTOLOME R BUSTAMANTE, RD, PRO5 turned-over long firearms, ammunitions and other equipment to be used on the Counter white Operations (CWAO) to PCOL ARTURO R BRUAL JR, Provincial Director, Sorsogon Police Provincial Office on March 5, 2021 at Camp Salvador C Escudero Sr., Sorsogon City.



Said items includes 3 units of 55”TV Videoke Set Lapel to be utilized on the police community relations activities conducted by the said unit such as CWAO; Usap Ta-Yoe; Drug Awareness Campaign; Coronavirus Awareness Response and Empowerment (C.A.R.E) Infodemic Drive; psychosocial activities; and other similar activities.

Sorsogon PPO also received a total of 55 units of Galil ACE22N; 7500rds ammunitions for cal 5.56 mm SS109 linked; 4000rds cal 7.62 mm linked; and 15 units of Computer Desktop.

PLTGEN BINAG also led the awarding to some of the outstanding uniformed personnel of PRO5. Medalya ng Kagalingan was awarded to PCOL JESUS ATCHICO REBUA, Chief of the Regional Staff for his meritorious accomplishment as the Over-all Supervisor of Sorsogon and Masbate during the implementation of COPLAN “DALIWAWA”, a regionwide Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) from February 25 to 27, 2021 that resulted to the arrest of 101 personalities and the confiscation of 137 assorted firearms grenade launcher and two (2) rifle grenade from the different provinces of the Bicol Region.

The same award was also presented to the PCOL MARLON C TEJADA, Chief, Regional Intelligence Division; PCOL PAUL F ABAY, Chief, Regional Operations Management Division; PCOL LIANE M VAN DE VELDE, Chief, Regional Logistics and Research Development Division; PCOL RHODERICK B CAMPO, Chief, Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division; PCOL RODERICO A ROY JR., Chief, Regional Community Affairs and Development Division; PLTCOL RAYAN V ADOR, Acting Chief, Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division; PMAJ MARIA LUISA C CALUBAQUIB, PRO5 Spokesperson as members of the support staff during the implementation of COPLAN “DALIWAWA”.

PCOL BAYANI M RAZALAN, CHIEF, CIDG-RFU5 who aided in the application of Search Warrants against the target personalities; and PCPT MICHAEL VINCENT S FORTUNADO as part of the support staff in the formulation and planning of the operations during the said operation was also given the award.

Other awardees were PCOL ARTURO P BRUAL JR, Provincial Director, Sorsogon PPO; PCOL ARNOLD C SANTIAGO, Provincial Director, Albay PPO; PCOL BERNARDO M PEREZ, Provincial Director, Camarines Sur PPO; PCOL JULIUS D GUADAMOR, Provincial Director, Camarines Norte PPO; PCOL MARLON M CATAN, City Director, Naga CPO as supervisors and support staff who conducted monitoring of police operations in their respective area of responsibility.

PLTGEN BINAG, also gave his message to the personnel of PRO5 who were present during the activity in the traditional “talk-to-men”.
