Highlight of the activity was the awarding of deserving female PNP personnel for their contributions in the implementation and realization of the plans and programs of the organization.
Medalya ng Kasanayan was awarded to PCOL LIANE M VANDE VELDE for demonstrating a high degree of leadership, innovativeness, initiative and resourcefulness as chief, Regional Logistics and Research Development Division, ensuring the execution of various logistical functions.
The same award was conferred to NUP Lirio U Dineros for ensuring the timely updating and uploading of reported incidents in Bulan MPS and the most number of encoded case folders in the Case information Database Management System being the Crime Registrar of Bulan Municipal Police Station Sorsogon PPO.
On the other hand, Medalya ng Kagalingan was accorded to PMAJ NANNIE PRECY O ALCALA, PCMS Arlene E Regachuelo, PSSg Nancy A Berbon, and PSSg Maryan O Peñas in recognition of their meritorious accomplishment as Team Leader and members of the joint operating elements of the Women and Children Protection Section of Bombon and Calabanga MPS for the successful rescue of six minor victims and the arrest of the three perpetrators for violations of RA 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act), RA 7610 and RA 10175.
The Medalya ng Ugnayang Pampulisya was also awarded to PLT FATIMA I LANUZA for her exemplary and meritorious contributions in Police Community Relations through project TAM (Tabang, Anduyog asin Malasakit); PLT ROWENA B LIM and PSSg Antoinette P Abuel for “Pagatas ng Pulis Project” during the ECQ to subsidize the needs of children especially those below one-year old whose parents were unable to work and mobile feeding program/snack on wheels. The same award was also accorded to PSSg Ailyn C Abac for launching a radio program dubbed as “IMPLAN GIYA” (Guidance and Information You Acquire) Sa Radyo with PNP Naga in collaboration with Radio caritas Mariae DWRV 98.3 FM.
During the activity the qualifiers and the winners of the PRO5 Graphic Poster Making Contest received their respective awards. The winners were Ms. Edgelie J Medina 1st Place; Mr. Joshua N Nacor (2nd Place); and Ms. Sunshine Salvador (3rd Prize).
Recruits from the Regional Training Center 5, also rendered a surprise number to the guest and to all PNP female personnel present during the activity.
Likewise, the Plaque of Appreciation was given to Atty, Daisy P Bragais, in grateful appreciation of her invaluable support to PRO5 as Guest of Honor and Speaker during the said undertaking.

Making change work for women: PNP Bicol applauding women’s contributions in the society
PNP Bicol along with other agencies joins the nationwide celebration of the 2021 Women’s Month with the theme; “We Make Change Work for women.”
The month-long celebration kicked-off today, March 1, 2021 with Atty. Daisy P Bragais, Acting Regional Director, Civil Service Commission as the Guest of Honor and Speaker held at PRO5 Grandstand, Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City.
