PRO5 celebrates 30th PNP Founding Anniversary Featured

Police Regional Office 5 is one with the entire PNP organization in celebrating its 30th founding anniversary in commemoration of its forerunner organization the Philippine Constabulary and the Integrated National Police, and the official activation of the PNP in 1991 by virtue of the Republic Act 6975 of 1990, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Act of 1990 on February 8, 2021 in front of the PRO5 Grandstand Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City.

This year’s celebration is anchored with the theme: “PNP @30: Kakampi Mo Laban sa Pandemya, Illigal na Droga, Kurapsyon at Terrorismo” which underscore the enduring commitment of the organization to strengthen its efforts against any forms of criminalities as well as the continuing fight against the COVID-19 pandemic for the realization of safer and more peaceful community for all.

During the activity, RD, PRO5 briefly shared the humble accomplishments of the unit on its ant-criminality campaign for the foregoing year.

The event also paved the way to recognize individuals, stakeholders and organizations for their benevolent act and generosity by donating assorted relief goods as a way of extending assistance to victims of the typhoons that hit the region. Plaque of appreciation were given to: Barangay Health Worker (BHW) Party list represented by Ms. Samantha Mendoza; PNPA Lakambini represented by PCOL MARCY S SALTING; PNP KAAGAPAY Class 1996 represented by PCOL RODERICO A ROY JR.; Albay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) represented by Mr. Roland Bongais; Partido Rice Mill Corporation represented by Mr. Eddie S Crescini; AFPSLAI represented by Mr. Leonardo De Duque, Branch Manager.

The RHQ Marching Band and Majorettes, and the RTC 5’s “Masintikas” Class gave performances to entertain the guest during the event.
