Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City---Police Regional Office 5 headed by PBGEN JONNEL C ESTOMO, RD, PRO5 joins the entire PNP organization as it humbly marks 120th year of police service in the country with PLTGEN FERDINAND O DIVINA, Director, DIPO-SL as the Guest of Honor and Speaker on August 16, 2021 held at the PRO5 Grandstand, Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City.

This year’s theme: “Hangad na Kalinisan sa Kapulisan, Kapaligiran at Komunidad; Ibayong Gampanan para sa Pangkapulisang Integridad” underscore the staunch commitment of PRO5 in transforming its services to the community---one that is seen, appreciated, through the feat from extraordinary acts of every member of the Kasurog cops.

Despite the numerous challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, PRO5 made significant strides on the administrations call to stomp out crime, illegal drugs and corruption. It had also made it a priority to bring wanted persons behind bars in order to serve justice to the victims.

These accomplishments are due to the diligence and commitment demonstrated by the men and women of PRO5 who tirelessly go through the rigors and the risk of dealing with various forms of criminalities to preserve and maintain peace and order in the region.

On the other hand, the annual celebration is in commemoration of the joint founding anniversaries of the Insular Constabulary established in 1901 and the integrated National Police organized in 1975 both forerunner organizations of the PNP.

Highlight of the activity is the conferment of awards to deserving PNP personnel for their outstanding performance in the field of administration and operation which incalculably contributed to the realization of the organization thrusts and mandates.

The activity also served as an avenue to recognize partner agencies and stakeholders for their steady and constant support which had greatly aided in the attainment of a safer and more peaceful community.

The awardees were also given trays of eggs as a unique way of this PRO to acknowledge and give recognition to its personnel for their extraordinary efforts.
