PNP personnel of Camarines Norte participated
in the Bantayog Festival’s Street Dancing Competition

Aimed to improve the police-community relation and enhance the image of the PNP organization in the province of Camarines Norte, the Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office under the stewardship of PSSUPT ANTONIO GARDIOLA JR, joined the street dancing completion of 7th Bantayog Festival last April 29, 2011.
Fifty PNP personnel paraded the main streets of Daet, Camarines Norte along with other nine contingents from different municipalities of the province. Spectators lined in the streets were dumbfounded and elated seeing their respected police men and women dancing in the tune of the festival’s hymn.
Dressed in a black leotard/T-shirt accented with buri painted in green, yellow  and orange, como green lower garment and combat boots, police contingent swayed for 12 minutes and showcased the other twelve festivals in Camarines Norte in their presentation to the much adulation of the public.
Though they did not receive any award, the police still emerged winners as they leaved a positive police image among the Norteeños.

12 Honorable, Mayor SONG YOUNG  GIL  of  Incheon, korea  and  members of his delegation visited  Albay province on April 28-29, 201I. The Albay Police Provincial Office  headed by PSSUPT WILLIAM SOLANO MACAVINTA, DPA, PESE mobilized the PCR and Security Team  and assisted the Albay Provincial   Government [ as invited by Albay Governor, Hon. Joey S Salceda [as guest of honor during Magayon festival’ 2011] to welcome, accommodate, entertain and secure the visiting Korean National.

CATANDUANES PPO: PULIS LINGKOD NG BAYAN RADIO PROGRAM

3            The PCR Master Plan in support of the COPS Philosophy emphasizes the capability building and skills development for the chief of police/officer-in –charge to become catalysts, community organizers and PCR practitioners which generally enhances the Information Plan “Santinig” to generate community partnerships in order to empower them for the promotion of peace and order.
            The Catanduanes Police Provincial Office in partnership with DZVC Radyo ng Bayan Virac were allotted an hour of airtime dissemination of various PNP activities province wide to awaken the public on their roles and responsibilities in the peace and order effort making them realize that the problem of criminality is a shared responsibility between the community and the police.
            “Catanduanes: Pulis Lingkod ng Bayan” aired every Tuesday of the Week from 8:00-9:30 in the morning focuses mainly on informing the public on the facts and issues imperative to crime prevention and elimination such as Existing Patterns and Trends of Criminalities, Human Rights, Community Organization (BPATS, BCPC, Women and Youth Organization, etc), Citizen’s Arrest, conduct of different seminars/workshops on Criminal Justice System, Crime Prevention Tips, and various laws/issuances for the protection of family, women and children’s rights.
            Every week the scheduled guest COP/Officer-in-Charge will be the one to disseminate their current thrusts, projects and programs as well as their significant accomplishment for the information of the public.

CATANDUANES PPO: MOU SIGNING ON CRISIS SITUATION


4On March 9, 2011, Catanduanes Police Provincial Office conducted the Signing of Memorandum of Understanding on the PNP-Media Protocol during Crisis Situation at DZVC, Radyo ng Bayan, Catanduanes State College Compound, Calatagan, Virac, Catanduanes.
Participants for this activity have expressed their desire to come up with a protocol to be observed in case a crisis situation, like hostage-taking, etc. arises within the province. The signatories are the following: Police Senior Superintendent Lito B Pitallano, Provincial Director, for the PNP with Engineer Fernan Gianan as the President of the Catanduanes Provincial Press Club, witnessed by Ms. Edna A Bagadiong, PIA Officer and Ms. Arlene O Bagadiong, Station Manager, DZVC Radyo ng Bayan.
PNP-CATANDUANES POLICE PROVINCIAL OFFICE and the LOCAL TRI-MEDIA IN CATANDUANES mutually and voluntarily agreed that the Standard Operating System on Police Operational Plan shall be STRICTLY observed effectively and efficiently during crisis situation.

CATANDUANES PPO: INFORMATION CARAVAN ON VIOLENCE-FREE CATANDUANES

         The Catanduanes Police Provincial Office conducted various anti-criminality strategies responsive to the unique criminality and peace and order condition of the province which leads in the fight against all forms of criminality issues/concerns to include insurgency problem, through active citizen’s involvement and community empowerment.
          In carrying out this strategies, Catanduanes Police Provincial Office together with its eleven (11) municipalities and Provincial Public Safety Company orchestrated awareness, organization and mobilization of individuals and other sectors of the society to help prevent or eliminate irregularities and any forms of criminalities.
8          The launching of Covenant for Violence-Free Catanduanes  relative to the celebration of the 2011 Women’s Month, a signature campaign that will serve as a reminder and an advocacy for the human rights of women and children particularly to protection against violence, exploitation and discrimination as well as raising the consciousness of men and women within the province to pursue a Violence-Free Catanduanes for 2011 and years onward.

To sustain the blood supply for use of the PNP personnel, dependents, relatives and the general public during emergency cases, the Police Regional Office 5 in collaboration with the Department of Health V- Bicol Regional Blood Center, City Health of Legazpi and Regional Health Service 5 conducted blood-letting activity on May 10, 2011 at the RSTU Bldg., Camp Gen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City. A total of 38, 700cc were extracted from one hundred PNP recruits of RT5.

OPERATION TULI

PRO5 in collaboration with the Regional Health Service 5 conducted the OPERATION-TULI on May 6-13, 2011 at the Multi-Purpose Building, Camp Gen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City. A weeklong operation-tuli benefited the one hundred thirty male teenagers.

Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011

PRO5 and its lower units actively participated and supported the Decade of Action for Road Safety: 2011-2020 by displsaying the road safety streamers, tarpaulins and/or posters in their respective camps and simultaneous sounding off of sirens at respective camps at exactly 0800H on May 11, 2011 to mark the launching of the said event.
